The years biggest shopping season is upon us, and we can still go on our shopping sprees while being conscious consumers and supporting only cruelty-free beauty brands. I am currently more of a minimalist these days when it comes to my beauty routine, but with all my years of experience in the beauty industry, I do love to share my expertise with my clients and friends. Here are my top picks for the month.
URBAN DECAY- Naked Heat eyeshadow pallet
How wonderful that one of the most popular and accessible makeup brands is committed to being a cruelty-free vegan brand? Urban Decay is known for their high quality eyeshadows that are richly pigmented and smooth in texture for easy blending. Their most recent pallet, Heat, has more deep amber hues while staying mostly neutral and flattering to a wide range of skin types.
JUICE BEAUTY – Phyto Pigments Juice Boost
This brand is all natural and organic and completely vegan. Their phyto pigments product is a concentrated liquid that not only gives a dewy glow, but also has major skin benefits using clean ingredients. Shea butter for deep hydration, Resveratrol – a powerful antioxidant derived from grapes, aloe for soothing hydration.
HEMPZ – GET BAKED Body Creme Trio
Hempz lotions provide the most amazingly rich hydration and aroma. I’ve always loved their original scented lotion and now they are expanding out to an array of scents. They have a holiday trio out called GET BAKED (I love the name of course) with the yummiest winter scents that are already giving me the munchies :D. Hempz now proudly announces on each of their products that they are 100% vegan, cruelty-free and paraben free.
While out shopping this season, make sure to always avoid leather, wool and down, and always be sure to check all your beauty products are cruelty-free before you buy. There is no need to support a brand that still performs animal testing, especially since we have many cruelty-free beauty brands to choose from. Check out my other post picking out some of my fave cruelty-free beauty products here.
What are some of your fave beauty products? Do you have any questions for a skin-care specialist like myself? Let me know in the comments.
